What changed in July 2026

The July 2026 guide added four newly starred restaurants in Taipei: Kiku, Mume, Restaurant 12, and Silks House. It promoted Mizue and NOBUO to two stars. Paris 1930 x Hideki Takayama lost its star.

When the stars are announced

The stars in Taipei come from the MICHELIN Guide Taiwan, revealed once a year, usually in July or August. The latest selection was revealed on 21 July 2026. Michelin hasn't named the next date yet; going by past years, expect it around July 2027. Every guide's dates are in our list of Michelin Guide ceremony dates.

How the prices are counted

Per person, before service

Every figure is for one guest and excludes the 10% service charge most Taiwanese fine-dining restaurants add; some also charge a small fee for water or tea. Prices shown in pounds, euros or US dollars use the day's exchange rate and are approximate.

Where prices come from

Dinner is the main tasting menu where there is one, and wine is the cheapest pairing for it. We take prices from each restaurant's own website where they're published, otherwise from recent reviews, booking sites and local food writers. Where a restaurant offers several menus, the note says which one is shown. Lunch is the restaurant's set or tasting lunch menu, and the note says which days it's served.

Stars and Google rating

The Google reviews score out of 5 and the number of reviews, checked in October 2026. Stars come from the MICHELIN Guide Taiwan 2026, announced on 21 July 2026. A green ▲ marks a restaurant that gained a star in the August 2025 or July 2026 guide; a red ▼ marks one that lost its star.
