What changed in March 2026

The March 2026 guide added 10 newly starred restaurants in Portugal: A Cozinha do Paço, Alameda, dop, Éon, Gastro by Elemento, In Diferente, Kappo, Largo do Paço, MAPA, and Schistó. It promoted Fifty Seconds to two stars.

When the stars are announced

The stars in Portugal come from the MICHELIN Guide Portugal, revealed once a year, usually in February or March. The latest selection was revealed on 10 March 2026 at the Savoy Palace, Funchal, Madeira. Michelin hasn't named the next date yet; going by past years, expect it around March 2027. Michelin has said the 2027 ceremony will be held in Portugal's Centro region. Every guide's dates are in our list of Michelin Guide ceremony dates.

How the prices are counted

Per person, before service

Every figure is for one guest. Menu prices include VAT. Service is usually included, though some restaurants add a service charge; tipping is optional. Supplements such as caviar are left out. Prices shown in other currencies use the day's exchange rate and are approximate.

Where prices come from

Dinner is the restaurant's main tasting menu, and wine is its wine pairing where one is offered. Prices come from each restaurant's own website and menus; restaurants that don't publish them are still to be priced.

Stars and Google rating

The Google reviews score out of 5 and the number of reviews, checked in October 2026. Stars come from the latest MICHELIN Guide covering Portugal.
